If your relationship is plagued with worry, you need to look at the root cause first. Is your loved one making you insecure with their behavior and actions? Are they doing and saying things that would make anyone worry about their feelings and where the relationship is headed? Do they threaten to break up or seem to not care when you are upset? Has an ex been contacting them and although they say it is no big deal you worry their may be something going on they might not be telling you?

Do You Worry About Your Loved One All the Time?

If the one you love is behaving in an alarming way, you have every right to worry about it. Something is obviously wrong although it may not be what you think it is. Your loved one may be acting indifferent but that doesn’t always mean they don’t really care. They may be trying to hide their feelings with a false sense of indifference. That is better than if they really don’t care, but they still need to drop the act because if you are worrying all the time, your relationship suffers and can’t be built on a solid foundation.

If they are behaving in a suspicious manner that is raising red flags, talk it out. Ask them to be honest with you, as the truth always comes out in the end. Better to be up front with what is going on than have it all come out in an ugly way. You may have to be more watchful for a while to set your mind at ease until you find out there is nothing to worry about and that your loved one is not up to no good.

There are people who think if they keep the one they love insecure or on their toes, it gives them the upper hand. We should all keep the ones we love on their toes to a certain degree by creating certain boundaries that when crossed, need to be slammed immediately. Letting it go just creates worse problems down the road. However, keeping someone worried about your feelings, the status of the relationship, or your thoughts is rather cruel. Like anything, it can be taken too far. Someone like that may cause you to have to call their bluff to finally get it to stop once and for all.

If you worry all the time about the one you love due to no real fault of theirs but instead due to your own insecurity issues, you need to stop trying to control them and get control over your own emotions. They should not, and in the end will not, constantly and continually want to feed your bottomless pit of insecurity. It isn’t complimentary, it isn’t cute, it is annoying. You have made your problem their problem, and they cannot fix it, only you can.

If you were hurt by someone else, blame them, not the person you were with. Learn something from the experience, but don’t take it out on the person you are presently involved with. It is not fair, and believe us, they know it. They don’t want to be punished for someone else’s mistakes. They may be compassionate at first, but at some point it gets old. Knock it off and get a grip before your worrying gives you something to actually worry about.
